Make intelligent choices for breakfast. It is the safest time to have the fiber your body requires, and you have the entire day to burn off the calories. Select healthy grains, like those in some cereals. However, be very cautious about your cereal choices, as many are loaded with sugar.

Fruit juices don’t give you the fiber you need, so eat the entire fruit. Fruit is a great choice to get your fiber. Fiber gives you that ‘full’ feeling.

Because we are talking about fiber, now is a suitable time to tell you that you need to raise the quantity of fiber you consume. Studies show that you want to include at least 25 grams of fiber every day.

In addition to fruits, you want to consume vegetables. If you do not have time to eat 3 sensible meals per day, then take a fiber supplement each day. Select whole wheat breads, in place of white. Anything that is ‘white’, such as rice or potatoes, is not something you want to eat.

Diet soda is NOT a substitute for drinking your 8 glasses of water daily. Stay away from diet sodas; they are full of sodium, sweeteners that are unhealthy for you, and caffeine.

If you are not a big enthusiast of drinking plain water, then add some lemon wedges to it. This not only tastes good, but helps to purify the system. I know this tip is not unexpected, but it is one of the most important for losing weight.

Avoid alcohol. All you are receiving are empty calories, and it will spark your appetite. Your fat burning decreases, because it also slows down your metabolism.
