Weight loss has always been a mystery to people around the world, with many people swearing by strange diets and pills that at best can give you bad breath or just don't work. We all know that deep down eating less food and taking more exercise is the key to losing weight, it's just that most people can't face this reality and are looking for an easier option. After trawling through the vaults of stories and current research some of the results below are genuine suggestions to help you lose weight.

1. There was a study published in the Journal of Consumer Research which concludes the problem may not be your appetite; it could be your reading skills. According to the study, healthy-sounding labels are duping dieters. So large people were being fooled into thinking that the 6 chocolate eclairs they had just eaten were good for them, just because they had a 50% off label on them, 'that's the price - not the amount of fat'.

How Can You Shed The Pounds During The Teen Years

Life is tough when you hit the age of thirteen.  For those young adults who are dealing with weight issues, it is more difficult.  There is something that can be done.  A teenager can follow a weight loss plan.  There are a few recommendations that can help them achieve this goal.

 

 Eat a balanced diet while losing weight mostly by burning extra calories which means exercising even if that is just a six pack ab exercises, and go to bed at the same time and sleep 6-8 hours every night.  Include lots of liquid in your diet.

 

The teenage weight loss plan has some things that can ruin your dieting efforts.  Never lose more than 2 pounds per week, and never lose weight by eating fewer calories without exercising, or do not limit or completely avoid eating any food group, while saying no to fast foods, and lastly don't  try to lose weight fast or skip meals, the best way to lose weight is to eat 5-6 meals everyday

 

A teen can concentrate on 4 areas in order to shed the unwanted pounds.

A teenage should begin by getting regular physical activity.  All exercise regimens should target both muscles and exercises that can get a person’s heart rate up.  It is important to do both for effective weight loss.   A person will find themselves losing fat and the weight that comes from that even if they are adding more muscles to their body.

The second component is to make sure you eat properly to get the nutrition you need but to limit how much you eat.  Lower your calories  in your diet by five percent over the first fourteen days.  For the following seven days double that number.  End with a 15% reduction in your daily calories for one week.  A person needs to limit their calories for twenty eight days.   Continue exercising and monitor your weight loss.  A teen should keep their weight loss to only about two pounds every week.  Add calories back to your diet as needed to stay below 2 pounds of weight loss per week.  Do not follow a regimen that is very restrictive or does not provide a person with the nutrition that they need.

The third component is to take a break.  After four weeks of lowering your intake, it is time to go back to a normal diet.  This does not mean to include foods that are very high in fat and calories, but rather a healthy, nutritional plan that has more food on the plate.  This is not the time to stop being physically active.  Do this for one week and then restart the 4 week calorie reduction plan.  It is the same as it was before, with the first fourteen days seeing a five percent reduction.  That is followed by doubling that reduction for the next seven days.  End with the maximum reduction of 15% for one week.  Follow all of this by going on vacation again.

The last part to remember is to keep it up.  Keep using the system every month.  You gradually reduce your calories from 5% to 15% of your normal intake over 4 weeks and then start a one week diet holiday.  Repeat the process until you reach your ideal weight.

That is it and, yes, it's that simple to  tone and maybe build your muscles, slowly reduce your calories over 4 weeks eating a balanced diet, and end the cycle with a one week diet holiday but keep exercising to get you into the shape that you desire and this message is repeated many times over on the internet on chat forums such as how to lose weight fast where people tell of their own weight loss journeys.

There is one last thing to remember.  Please visit your family doctor before starting any diet and exercise plan.  It is also important to talk to a guardian about what you are trying too accomplish.  Parents need to be aware of what their teenagers are doing to their bodies.
