Alkaline Food: What are the Benefits?

The alkaline food approach is rather different from any other diet plan currently available. Instead of making foods off limits in accordance with how much saturated fat or how many calories they provide, this diet suggests a state of equilibrium between foods that are powerfully acidic within the body and those that are more alkaline within the body.

This is truly one of the best foods for the alkaline diet because they are powerfully rich in alkalinity inside the body. Accordingly, they are a good way to to balance out acidic foods that are part of your diet.

Your body will match up potato particles to acidic particles to prevent your body from experiencing the results of excess internal acidity. There are also numerous nutrients in a potato which your body needs to work correctly.

Clarified Butter

We all know that fat is bad, right? Actually, on the alkaline diet, a small quantity of clarified butter, or ghee, is not always the worst thing to eat. This slightly alkaline-forming kind of butter has been part of Ayurvedic treatments for hundreds of years. And although saturated fat should be consumed in moderation, you should have no problem doing that on the alkaline diet.

On a final note, all foods must be well balanced and eaten in proper portions on the alkaline diet. In spite of the fact that these two foods are widely enjoyed by followers, it is not an excuse to indulge in them in massive amounts on a frequent basis.
