Motivation For Losing Weight
July 12th, 2010 by samfrea

When trying to lose weight, motivation should be your topmost priority. It’s not all about the exercise or the diet, rather it’s how much you want to lose weight. If you want to lose weight fast, then this is the most important thing you have to cultivate. Here are some ways on how to lose weight fast using motivational techniques.

Number One

Buy a shirt or pants that you like to be able to wear. This will serve as your weighing scale in which you would try it out once per week. Notice how it becomes looser with every fitting.

Number Two

Get a weighing scale and use it as often as you can. You’ll be amazed at how much motivation you can get just from finding out that your diet is working.

Tip 3

Get yourself a diet buddy. If you have a friend who also wants to lose extra fat fast, then you could try a team up. Help each other conquer cravings with the help of a buddy system.

Number Four

Tell a close friend about your plan to burn off some pounds. Make sure that it’s someone you trust implicitly. Once someone finds out about your plan on how to lose weight fast, then you will only work harder to prove this to yourself and other people.

Tip Five

Pin a picture of a slim person somewhere where you can easily see it. If it’s a picture of you during your slim days, then that would be better.

Number Six

Remove all temptation. To do this, your grocery should only contain healthy foods. You might want to steer clear of the processed foods section when shopping. After all, you can’t eat what’s not on the fridge.

Tip Seven

Opt for the rewards method. For example, you can treat yourself to a vacation once you’ve achieved your ideal weight. It doesn’t have to be a vacation, but it has to be special, expensive or something you’ve been wanting for a long time. It’s also possible that you set small daily rewards for yourself. For example, one cup of coffee after a whole day of drinking only water is a good reward. This is so at the end of the day, you have something to look forward to. By doing this, you can divide the whole program into small, manageable steps.

Tip 8

Get a hooby. Don’t take up easting as your hobby of choice. Try something else, perhaps join a badminton club or take up painting. As long as you enjoy it and it gets your mind off eating, then go for it.

It is very important that you motivate yourself for weight loss. Of course, this part is also the hardest one. However, if you manage to talk yourself into the activity each day, then chances are you won’t have much problem.
